Part 2 Date

Mandatory training for anyone wishing to take a lead role within a BB Company is known as Youth Leadership Training (YLT).

This course is also suitable for any other leaders who wish to extend their skills and knowledge in working with children and young people. Youth Leadership training will enable participants to deliver the BB mission by equipping them with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to work effectively with children and young people.

This is a 2 day course, participants must attend both session to complete the course. Part 1 Saturday 23rd January 2027 & Part 2 Saturday 20th February 2027.

 

Step 1 – To register for Youth Leader Training, you must first have completed the mandatory e-learning courses (accessed via OBM), these are;

• E-learning 1 – Introduction to the BB
• E-learning 2 – Safeguarding
• E-learning 3 – Managing Risk

Step 2 – Register for Youth Leader Training

YLT consists of six required modules, which will be split over a 2 days of training;

• Introduction to Boys’ Brigade
• Safeguarding
• Managing Risk
• Programme Planning & Delivery
• Sharing Faith
• Equal Opportunities

Additional Modules:

• working with under 11’s
• Working with over 11’s

 

Leaders registered for Part 1 will automatically be registered to attend day 2.

 

Please bring your own lunch and snacks, suitable break times will be given during the course of the full day session.
