Edinburgh, Leith & District Battalion have once again been invited to provide a Guard of Honour for the Lord High Commissioner, Lady Elish Angiolini KC, prior to the Church of Scotland General Assembly worship on Sunday 18 May 2025 at St Giles Cathedral.
To mark this special honour we cordially invite your Company to represent the Battalion, where they will be supported with BB members from across Scotland.

REFRESHEMENTS
Due to a number of issues and changes throughout the planning of Guard of Honour 2026 we have made the decision not to provide catering in the Harry Younger Hall.
In place of this we will off the option for each Company/Battalion to take their participating members to a venue of their choice for breakfast/brunch, EL&D Battalion will subsidise this to a cost of £7.50pp.
Cost per person will be strictly be available for G of H participants/Band members and leaders/officers who are traveling to steward/support their young members.
Receipts for your refreshments must be forwarded to finance@thebb-edinburgh.org.uk for reimbursement by Tuesday 20th May 2025. Please remember to include the bank details (Name, Sort Code & Account No.) of where you would like re-imbursement of costs to made to. These will be processed and returned by Bank Transfers between Tuesday and Thursday next week.
PARKING
Just a reminder, although there are a number of streets in central Area that allow for Free on-street parking during Sunday Mornings, please note that parking charges are payable from 12.30pm onwards during a Sunday.
