Our annual Junior Section golf tournament was blessed with a gloriously sunny spring afternoon and a good entry of eighteen Boys representing four Companies. From beginners through to seasoned golfers there were some great shots played and of course some that were indicative of novice status. The competition was played on Saturday 30th April, over the first six holes of the Hermitage of Braid course which was in great condition for low scoring.
A magnificent level par round of 22 saw Ross Wolfenden, 1st West Linton Company retain the winner's trophy. Well done to Ross who also won the nearest the pin competition at the 3rd hole. The longest drive competition on the 5th hole, was won by Tom Weir, 1st West Linton Company, who also finished runner up in the main event with a very creditable score of 31 strokes. Third place went to Charlie McPherson, 25th Edinburgh Company, with a score of 33 strokes.
