The Boys’ Brigade in Edinburgh, Leith & District donate to ‘Caring for Carronvale’ Appeal

Members of The Boys’ Brigade in Edinburgh, Leith & District donated to the ‘Caring for Carronvale’ Appeal at the recent Junior Section Indoor Football competition.

They presented a cheque for £2,500 to Alistair Burrow, Vice President of The Boys’ Brigade UK and RoI.

In the coming weeks, Companies in the Battalion will be encouraged to match this donation and take up the challenge to raise a further £2,500 for the Appeal.

The Boys’ Brigade is raising money for Carronvale House, the Headquarters of The Boys' Brigade in Scotland, to safeguard the future of this magnificent building. Carronvale is very much at the centre of the fantastic work which The Boys' Brigade carries out with its 20,000 young members in Scotland.  It is the centre for its national training and has been since 1947.

The house, which is a listed building, is currently in need of a significant investment to improve disabled access and carry out essential repairs and maintenance.
