A group of 65 Boys, Officers and parents enjoyed a memorable day at Tynecastle on Saturday 6th December as Hearts entertained Queen of the South in the SPFL Championship. Excitement was tangible by 3pm as our Boys took their seats in the Roseburn Stand. They were not to be disappointed as Hearts ran out 4-1 winners to continue their unbeaten run and stay 9 points clear at the top of the Championship in front of a crowd of 15,500.
Our group were invited to the Gorgie Kids Club before the match where Boys made the most of all the activities on offer including table football, Connect4 and board games. Boys also made the most of their food and drinks vouchers, tucking into macaroni, curry or burgers whilst watching the live football on the big screen televisions. Throughout the afternoon, Hearts legend John Robertson visited the Kids Club, helping our Boys decorate the Tynecastle Christmas tree and posing for photos with everyone. Robbo returned to the Kids Club to give out Hearts books and gifts to Boys who stayed behind after the game.
Although many of our group were Hearts supporters others had never been to a football match before so the day was a success for everyone involved. Thanks to Hearts Hospitality for making it happen and for looking after us on the day.
